After 20 years at ABC, Winfrey's Harpo Films has inked a three-year exclusive deal with HBO to develop and produce scripted programming, including series, miniseries, movies and documentaries. What makes this deal so great is that making a deal on pay cable you not only get money from how well the shows does but there is less constraints because to have HBO on your television you must pay a subscription rate, so no matter how well the shows do on Cable unlike network they still get their money either way...
