Lakers trade Shooter for Shooter and defense

Lakers pass Vladimir Radmanovic to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown. This is a great deal for all of the players in this deal. Vlad will definitely see more minutes and Adam and Shannon will have a chance at winning an NBA Championship. Adam has been struggling in Larry Browns offensive regime.

The deal is reportedly to insure the cap space to resign Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza in the off season.

I think this is a great move for the Lakers and Bobcats. Lakers are going to free that cap space and eventhough Adam has struggled to create his own shot since being drafted to the pro's. Playing with Kobe will create the open looks he needs to be effective. Shannon Brown plays good defense and can help match up on west coast scorers.

Lakers Will Listen To OffersGM Mitch Kupchak said Monday that he wouldn't seek a replacement for injured center Andrew Bynum through a trade. Coach Phil Jackson said Wednesday, however, the Lakers would listen to trade offers before the Feb. 19 deadline.
"We certainly won't sit back and just assume (the best)," Jackson said. "We'll talk about it. We'll try to improve the club if there's a necessary thing to do. That's what you have to do in this business." -- Los Angeles Daily News
