Interview with Director Jameel Saleem..
What might people recognize you from if they don't know who Jameel is?They might recognize me as that guy who does the funny skits on Youtube.
How and when did you get started in the Entertainment business? I started acting professionally on the east coast in 2000 when my Dad put me into an acting school.. I was sort of heading down the wrong road, and that put me on track.
Did someone inspire you to get in to the Industry, if so who? My first acting teacher J.T. Wagner inspired me to get into the Industry. Before her, I didn't think it was a realistic goal.
I did some research on you and read that you were pursuing a singing career before you started directing.. Is that true, and if so what happened?I've been rapping and making music since I was 14.. At one point I had a manager in New York and was shopping deals with Sony and TVT but the offers were terrible, so I got discouraged and decided to stick to my true love which is film. I will release and album one day, but it's more for me than anything else. I'm not interested in becoming a rap star, It's just a hobby.
Do you get any down time to have fun and if so what do you like to do? On my down time I like to watch movies (what a suprise) especially 80s and cartoon movies, they remind me of my childhood.. I just watched "Bolt" and "Little Monsters" and the other night I watched the "Back to the Future" trilogy
Tell us something people may not know about you... I lift weights and workout everyday.. I don't want to be like most directors (out of shape).
What's one word that describes your personality? Silly.
Are you currently working on any projects? I'm in pre-production on a romantic comedy and I just finsihed directing a reality show pilot being pitched to MTV.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In five years I will be the first african-american director to win an Academy Award for Directing, and much much more.
If you were to die tomorrow, what would you want to be remembered for?For being a good example of a human being.
Do you have any secrets for being successful in this industry? Don't be like the rest of them. Out here in Hollywood, it's the blind leading the blind.
Name 3 of your favorite movies.. Annie Hall, The Princess Bride, The Goonies.
How can readers get in touch with you? www.myspace.com/saleem

America's Next Top Model Audition ends in fight...
Fighting to make it to the top doesn't come easy as three people were arrested and six others hurt Saturday after bedlam broke out while they waited to audition for "America's Next Top Model"
Police didn't know what prompted the chaos involving hundreds of people outside the Park Central New York hotel in Manhattan. The panic left the street outside the hotel littered with shoes and clothing, according to news reports.
Two women and a man were arrested on disorderly conduct charges, police said. Authorities also shut down the audition, saying it wasn't properly organized.
Four injured people declined treatment, while two others were taken to a hospital, the fire department said. Their conditions weren't immediately available.
The hotel's phone rang unanswered. Representatives for The CW Network, which airs the show, released a statement saying it was working with authorities investigating the incident.

Lindsay Lohan has a warrant for her arrest..
Beverly Hills Police Department is confirming a warrant was in fact issued on March 13 for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan. The $50,000 warrant issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court stems from a May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI and hit-and-run.
Lohan was arrested twice in 2007 on driving under the influence charges, with a cocaine possession charge in the second incident.
The first arrest in May came after Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a Beverly Hills curb.
Just two weeks after checking out of a Malibu drug and alcohol rehab facility, she was arrested again in July 2007 after a woman called Santa Monica police saying Lohan was trying to run her down in a car.
A judge sentenced Lohan to three years' probation after she entered guilty and no-contest pleas to the charges. She served less than two hours in jail.
"The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time. Hopefully Miss Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner."Rams, out with the old and in with the new
The move came three days after the Rams released offensive tackle Orlando Pace, another mainstay from the era when the Rams won their only Super Bowl and lost another on the game’s final play. Both Holt and Pace are seven-time Pro Bowl selections.
Holt is 32 and Pace is 33 and combined the moves created $14 million in salary cap space. Holt was due a $1.25 million roster bonus on Tuesday.

Owens takes Hardy's mojo
Hardy, the team's second-round draft pick out of Indiana last year, wore No. 81 during his rookie season.
It's unclear whether Hardy will be compensated by Owens to switch numbers. In the past, veteran players joining new teams have been known to pay for or provide compensation for the right to switch numbers.
Owens has worn No. 81 throughout his NFL career, but wore No. 80 in college at Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Roy Williams a number 1 receiving threat over T.O.?
The Dallas Morning News reported Jones released Owens because the team wanted Roy Williams to become the No. 1 receiving threat and the development of Miles Austin as a potential No. 2 wideout.
"I had to look at Roy Williams and the future that we have with Roy," Jones said on The Fan (105.3 FM) on Tuesday afternoon. "I'm excited about Roy, so I'd rather have him than the [three] picks we gave up for him in this draft."
Jones also said it gives quarterback Tony Romo a chance to spread the ball around to tight ends Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett and running backs Marion Barber and Felix Jones.

Hayden Panettiere Plays Dirty..
Heroes’ Hayden Panettiere has decided to take her bitter breakup with co-star Milo Ventimiglia to the small screen. Hayden, 19, is trying to get Milo, 31, kicked off of the show, according to a mutual friend.
“She refuses to be on the set at the same time as him,” the pal tells OK!. “She is making it difficult for everyone involved.” (Her rep denies this).
As for Milo, “He’s not going to play any games or stoop to her level,” says the friend.
Since the split, Hayden has been linked to a string of men including rocker Anthony Kiedis, 46, her ex Stephen Colletti, 23, and Gerard Butler, 39.
Chris Brown withdraws his name from The Kids Choice Awards..
Chris Brown is withdrawing his name from consideration for a 2009 Kids' Choice Award. A spokesperson for Chris Brown said said, "Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so."
In addition to Favorite Song, Chris Brown was also nominated in the Favorite Male Singer category. There was a controversy surrounding Chris Brown's nomination for the any awards because he allegedly badly beat up his girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Chris Brown and Rihanna had been head to head in the Favorite Song category. Chris Brown's exit leaves just Rihanna, Katy Perry and Beyonce up for the Favorite Song award.
San Diego is Charged, to keep L.T.
After two months of uncertainty about his future, L.T. remains the face of the San Diego Chargers. The star running back agreed to a renegotiated deal that gives the team salary cap relief, the Chargers confirmed Tuesday night.
Financial terms weren’t immediately available for the three-year contract for Tomlinson, the 2006 NFL MVP.
“I love San Diego and being a part of this team with my teammates,” Tomlinson said in a statement released by the team. “My No. 1 priority was to stay here in San Diego. I truly believe this is the place that gives me the best chance to be successful and win a championship. I want to finish the job we started when I got here eight years ago. My heart has always been in San Diego. I couldn’t imagine putting on another uniform.”
A news conference was scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The Cavs could of and should of got Shaq
According to the report, Phoenix was prepared to ship Shaq East for the bargain basement price of Wally Szczerbiak and Sasha Pavlovic. However, instead of Szczerbiak, whose $13.5-million-a-year deal is expiring, the Cavaliers wanted the Suns take Ben Wallace, who has one more season at $14 million left.
Of course, who's to say it won't come up again this summer?

Pro Bowl goes back to Paradise
The Hawaii Tourism Authority board voted 9-1 on Friday to accept the NFL’s offer to return to the islands.
The board rejected two previous proposals, but under mounting pressure reconsidered its latest refusal to pay the NFL $4 million a year to host the all-star game at Aloha Stadium in 2011 and 2012.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the state of Hawaii, which has embraced the Pro Bowl for 30 years,” Frank Supovitz, the NFL’s senior vice president of events, said in a statement.
The 2010 Pro Bowl will be played in Miami a week before the Super Bowl after a 30-year run in Hawaii in which every game was a sellout.
Supovitz said placing the Pro Bowl in the islands on a rotational basis will maintains its ties to Hawaii while making it more accessible to fans on the mainland.

Joint deal for Beckham
The English midfielder will remain on loan to AC Milan through the end of the Italian team’s season, which concludes May 31.
But it’s going to cost Beckham to stay overseas. He and AC Milan are jointly paying the Galaxy in a “multimillion dollar deal” to extend his loan, the Galaxy said in a statement issued late Saturday night.
On Sunday, Milan issued a statement confirming the move a few minutes before its game with Atalanta.
“AC Milan announces that the player David Beckham will remain with the Rossoneri until June 30, 2009,” the statement said.
Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. The Galaxy had sought $10 million for the outright purchase of Beckham, but AC Milan officials had offered $3 million.
The two sides were negotiating for weeks and reached agreement on the loan extension hours before it was due to expire after AC Milan’s game with Atalanta.
“I’m really grateful to the L.A. Galaxy and AC Milan for making this dream deal happen,” Beckham said in the statement.

Owens streaks to Buffalo
The Buffalo Bills decided to take a chance on the talented but high-maintenance receiver, signing Owens to a $6.5 million, one-year deal Saturday.
The 35-year-old Owens caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns last season with Dallas. But the Cowboys were looking to improve the atmosphere in the locker room and decided they would be better off without him.
“I’m leaving America’s team (for) North America’s team,” Owens said at a news conference.
The Bills will be Owens’ fourth stop. He started with San Francisco, bounced to Philadelphia—where he helped the Eagles get to a Super Bowl—and then to Dallas.
“I must move on, and it’s another beginning for me,” Owens said. “If I can be that extra added piece to get them to the playoffs, then that’s what I’m here for. I looked at the defensive side of ball and offensive side of the ball, and these guys have all the pieces.”
Mark don't PLAY that!
According to the Dallas Morning News, Cuban promised fans there will be changes if the sorry efforts continue.
"It's only one game, which I keep reminding myself," Cuban said Tuesday. "But let's just say I wasn't happy with our preparation, execution or effort. Not only did it look like we had no idea what we were doing, but we did it without effort. The effort and energy, on both sides of the ball, by each player will decide their future with the Mavericks. If each player can't take the personal initiative to make every game important and play like it, I don't see them being here next season."
According to The Morning News, after Monday's game, in which the Mavericks trailed by 20 points after three quarters to a Thunder team that was missing its two leading scorers — Kevin Durant and Jeff Green — players and coach Rick Carlisle took turns blasting the lack of focus.
"The ball won't always bounce the way we want it to, but every player can control their level of effort," he said. "If it's not important enough to them to lay it out every game the rest of the season, they won't be back. I don't care what their contract is. I would rather turn over the roster 100 percent than subject fans to another game like last night. This team has the talent to win in the playoffs. But that's only going to happen if all 15 guys know and execute their assignments and play every possession like it's important."

Esquire best dressed man... It has to be Obama, right?
Not this time...Prince Charles has beaten off competition from President Barack Obama to be named the world's best dressed man by Esquire magazine.

Prince Charles, 60, keeps it simple and has worn suits by Saville Row tailors Gieves and Hawkes, complete with pocket handkerchief and silk tie, for years. Esquire said he was "always incredibly well dressed".
PRESIDENT OBAMA came 4th in the top ten with some of the other competitors such as tennis player Roger Federer coming in 8th and rapper Andre 3000 coming in 10th.
