What Happened To Chivalry?

A New York Times article today wrote about the "Demise of Dating". The article suggested that hooking up is becoming more of a norm. People are more likely to hook up with someone now then actually date them. So some ask, why is there an increase in hooking up? Well Professor Kathleen Bogle (LaSalle University) says because of:
The collapse of advanced planning, lopsided gender ratios on campus, delaying marriage, relaxing values and sheer momentum.
The article also says that at one time you were trained your whole life to date, now its become more about hooking up, and thats because people are now more in groups then one-on-one interactions . One semi-positive note that as girls get older they get tired of just hooking up (Guys Dont) so they start looking to date more.
